QUILT RAFFLE - 2010
Every year we are fortunate to be able to raffle off several beautiful hand-crafted quilts at the Ypsilanti Heritage Festival. Designed and created by our own "Gone to Pieces Gang", the long-standing Saturday morning quilters group at the Center, these are always so beautiful that you would be pleased and proud to own any one of them.
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, look for our booth at the Heritage Festival August 20-22; we are usually located on the Cross Street bridge.
Volunteer opportunities at the Senior and Community Center
We are always looking for volunteers at the Center - it's rewarding and fun, and your talents and energy are welcome. Check out the ways that you can help.
We are also looking for ides for service projects for our Tuesday morning service group. We have been creating lap quilts that we donate to the VA hospital, and occasional mailings for nonprofits. We
could use more people who can sew, and ideas for more projects for the group.
Events
Next up in our 1st Wednesday of the month series, August 4 at 7:30, "Save Energy, Save Money: How to create a more energy efficient lifestyle" with Deb Heed from the Clean Energy Coalition in Depot Town in Ypsilanti. Free, with refreshments and a chance to win great door prizes. Click here for more information and a flyer.

Rentals at the Center
Summer is a busy time with people renting the Center for family reunions and a host of other events. There are still some free days and weekends, if you want to schedule your event.
