Rent the Center
The Center is available for your next event! The space is perfect for family reunions, parties, showers, and receptions; community classes; club meetings; and the services of faith-based organizations – just to name a few examples.
- Large main area – 125 people maximum.
- 20 x 24 feet of room space
- Licensed kitchen with an oven, freezer, refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave.
- Baby grand piano in main hall. (Piano cannot be moved.)
- Tables (20 6-ft. tables, six 4-ft. tables, ten card tables) and chairs (130).
- Located in Recreation Park and adjacent to Rutherford Pool.
- Parking.

You must come into the center to complete an application to rent the space.
Through June 30, 2026, the rental rate is $75 per hour. Beginning July 1, 2026, the rental rate will increase to $100 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Payment must be made by cash or check only.
At the time of application, half of the rental fee plus the $200 security deposit is due to secure your date on the rental calendar. The remaining half of the rental fee is due two weeks before the event.
The $200 security deposit will be returned to the renter on the next business day after inspection of the property, provided the space is left in the same condition as when it was rented. The deposit must be picked up at the center by the renter.
The space may be rented between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM, with the option to stay until 12:00 AM for clean-up only.
The center is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and staff are available during business hours to assist with the rental process.
Please note: Alcohol and pets are not allowed on the premises. The Ypsilanti Senior Center is a non-smoking facility, and city ordinances apply.
