Creating great experiences for older adults in a welcoming environment that encourages learning, active engagement, fitness and healthy living

As we get older, it can be challenging to find activities in a truly warm and welcoming environment.  We know it’s important to stay active, but we need alternatives that are tailored for a range of physical abilities and stages.  And we know as seniors that having resources to help us provide clarity on the countless decisions that aging brings – from estate planning to support for memory loss – is critical to help cut through information overload.

Fortunately for those of us who are citizens of the city of Ypsilanti and the surrounding region, there is a resource right in our backyard.  The Ypsilanti Senior Center is the home away from home for area seniors, providing a community of peers for connection, education, and active living.  The mission of the Center is to create great experiences for older adults in a welcoming environment that encourages learning, active engagement, fitness, and healthy living.
